SmartHome Essentials is committed to keeping your home and data secure.

Data Encryption

All communication between your devices and the SmartHome cloud is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Local device control is also available offline via the Hub without sending data to the cloud.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Enable 2FA in Account Settings → Security to protect your account with an additional verification step on new logins.

Camera Privacy

SmartHome cameras feature a physical privacy shutter. When closed, no video or audio is transmitted or stored — even if the camera is powered on.

Data Retention

• Camera footage: stored for 30 days (cloud) or indefinitely (local storage).
• Automation logs: stored for 90 days.
• Sensor data: stored for 12 months for trend analysis.

Deleting Your Data

You can request a full export or deletion of your account data at any time from Settings → Privacy → Data Management. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
