Setting Up Your SmartHome Hub for the First Time

SmartHome Hub Setup Guide

Your SmartHome Hub is the central brain of your connected home. Follow these steps for a smooth setup.

Requirements

• Wi-Fi router (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)
• Smartphone with iOS 14+ or Android 9+
• SmartHome Essentials app (free download)

Step 1: Position Your Hub

Place the Hub in a central location in your home — ideally within 30 feet of your router and away from microwaves or thick walls that can interfere with signal.

Step 2: Power On

Plug the Hub into a power outlet using the included adapter. The LED ring will pulse blue while booting up (approximately 30 seconds).

Step 3: Connect via the App

1. Open the SmartHome Essentials app.
2. Tap Add Device → Hub.
3. Scan the QR code on the bottom of your Hub.
4. Enter your Wi-Fi password and wait for the LED to turn solid green (connected).

Step 4: Add Your First Device

Tap + Add Device in the app to start pairing smart bulbs, locks, thermostats, and more.
